Professional Journey
Deji was the Chief Financial Officer (from 2016 – 2021) to Twin Lakes Estate Management Company, a private limited liability organization managing a multibillion real estate investment assets located within Lekki axis in Lagos. At various times, he was also in the roles of Chief Financial Officer, Manager – Finance, Investment & Operations and Manager – Finance Strategy & Fund Administration at Chevron Nigeria Closed Pension Administrator that manages a multinational company’s employees’ retirement benefits scheme regulated by National Pension Commission (PenCom).
Prior to this time, Deji was the Head of the Finance Team providing dedicated financial services to Drilling & Completion Department (“Wells”) of Chevron Nigeria Limited (an oil & gas company with headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria) for a period of about 5 years. At various stages in his career at Chevron Nigeria Limited, he led many project teams and participated actively in strategic business assignments on employees’ retirement benefits scheme restructuring, deployments of enterprise solution modules, joint venture partners engagements, accounts payables and treasury management, business process reviews and optimization as well as digitalization and cost savings initiatives.
In the earlier part of his professional career, Deji worked as an Accountant with Headquarters Accounts (Finance Department) of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in 1991 after leaving Niger Insurance Plc in 1990. He holds a BSc Degree in Accounting (Hons) and Masters of Business Administration (Executive) from Obafemi Awolowo University. He is a Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a Fellow (FCTI) of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
